Concert-goers can now purchase tickets online and get detailed, up-to-date information about CCSO performances and programs.
A new interactive box office/ticket management system and a depth of information never before available to subscribers and friends are the high notes of the CCSO's beautiful, newly designed, newly launched website, located at www.capesymphony.org.
The result is more relevant information and a higher level of convenience and responsiveness for music lovers on and off Cape Cod.
"CCSO ticket sales are at their highest mark in history. For one CCSO box office person to process each ticket order manually is extremely time-consuming and doesn't give ticket buyers the flexibility they would like," says Box Office Manager, Amie Bissonnette. "With the new box office ticket system, individual ticket buyers can choose the performances they want, view a seating chart of the Barnstable Performing Arts Center, select their seats, submit their credit card information as payment and receive an automatic confirmation within minutes - anytime they want."
Ticket buyers can also make contributions to the Annual Fund. The Blackbaud® ticket system, which is used by over 200 large and small cultural and arts organizations across the U.S., guarantees the security of all transactions.
Designed and developed by Webfodder of Hyannis, the new website offers concert-goers easy access to all the orchestra's upcoming programs and events right from the home page. An engaging "flash" slide show highlights the extraordinary Classics and CapePOPS! concerts that are scheduled for the 08/09 season while Conductor's Concert Previews present overviews narrated by Maestro Jung-Ho Pak. The "Center Stage" showcases the current event "An Evening with Joshua Bell" that the CCSO will host on September 7. The "Upcoming" panel features events such as the special July 5th Pops concert and fireworks overlooking Hyannis Harbor and the Summer Pops in Mashpee, Orleans and Falmouth. A season calendar enables convenient, at-a-glance planning.
"Our objective was to improve customer service by making the online ticket purchase process easier and faster than before and to strengthen our connection with our audiences," remarked Esther Owen, Director of Marketing. "Once visitors try the new site, I think they'll find it as pleasing and engaging as our concerts."
From the home page, viewers also can link to in-depth information about all performances and special events including full program descriptions and guest artist bios. They can connect with the CCSO's many outstanding music education programs for children, youth and adults, as well as the many opportunities available for those wishing to support the orchestra through donations, volunteering and sponsorships. Links to further information about the orchestra's background and mission, conductor and musicians, along with news, a photo gallery and more are also provided.
Since the website will be professionally maintained by Webfodder and updated by CCSO staff, concert-goers and supporters can rest assured that all performance, program and special event information and schedules are current.
