Falmouth Chamber presents $5,000 in donations from Pops proceeds

The Falmouth Chamber of Commerce’s Annual $10,000 Raffle and Gala Cocktail Party will take place on Thursday, October 2ND, at the Coonamessett Inn from 5:30-7:30PM, where the winning raffle ticket holders won’t be the only ones leaving with a big check.

Thanks to funds raised through the 2008 POPS Goes the Summer festival and concert, presented by Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce will be presenting $2,500 to the Disabled American Veterans, $1,500 to the Falmouth Scholarship Fund, and $1,000 to the Falmouth High School band to support programming, at this year’s event.

“We are so gratified that we can make these donations from the proceeds of the POPS Goes the Summer Concert to the Falmouth Scholarship Fund, the Disabled American Veterans and the Falmouth High School Band who is planning a trip in the Spring. It makes all our work worthwhile,” commented Stephen Spitz, Chair of the POPS Goes the Summer Committee and Vice Chairman of the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce Board.

With hors d’oeuvres provided by the Coonamessett Inn and music by Sister Spin Entertainment , it will be an event to remember, even for those leaving without a fatter wallet.
