BARNSTABLE COUNTY, MA -- In response to community concerns expressed during three public hearings in June, the Cape Cod Commission will host three open houses in July to provide additional opportunity for the public to comment on the draft of the proposed 2008 Regional Policy Plan (RPP), the Barnstable County document that guides major development throughout Cape Cod.
Commission staff members will be on hand to answer questions and receive comments. The open houses are organized around specific topics from the draft RPP as follows:
TOPICS: Land Use and Economic Development
DATE and TIME: Monday, July 21, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
TOPICS: Water Resources, Coastal Resources, Wetlands, Wildlife and Plant Habitat, and Open Space
DATE and TIME: Thursday, July 24, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
TOPICS: Transportation, Waste Management, Energy, Affordable Housing, Heritage Preservation and Community Character
DATE and TIME: Wednesday, July 30, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
ALL THREE OPEN HOUSES WILL BE HELD IN ROOMS 11/12 OF THE SUPERIOR COURTHOUSE, BARNSTABLE COUNTY COMPLEX, ROUTE 6A, BARNSTABLE VILLAGE.
